Prince de Didonne Cognac is produced in Jonzac, France from grapes grown in primarily the Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Bons Bois regions.

The original Cognac trade house was founded in 1847 by Jules Gautret, in the Haute Saintonge region in the city of Jonzac (Petite Champagne). 100 years later it was acquired by the Coopérative des Viticulteurs Charentais. In the early 1970's, the company changed its name to Unicognac SA and is now a subsidiary of the first cooperative group of the Cognac region, Ocealia.

Since 2007, all bottling and packaging is done at a state-of-the-art facility in Saint Germain de Lusignan (next to Jonzac), where stringent quality and safety standards are rigorously respected.

Today, nearly five hundred Charentais winegrowers place their trust in Unicognac SA by supplying quality wines to be subtly blended by the cellar master.

Using the traditional process required by the Cognac AOC, Prince de Didonne Cognac is double distilled in a traditional swan-neck still then aged in oak casks from the Limousin and Tronçais forests.
