Kate Smith is a Seattle-based blogger whose hobby is drinking ciders and, of course, reviewing them in her "Cider Says" blog. She recently published her list of Favorite Ciders of 2017.
Pierre Huet Demi-Sec Pays D'Auge Cidre was cited as her favorite fancy French cidre of 2017!
Kate tasted around 200 ciders last year (averaging about three a week). Through her blog, she describes ciders in straight-forward terms, with helpful info such as availability and pricing. She also defines the terminology here, so you can better appreciate her descriptions. By day, Kate is an aircraft structural engineer who owns a tortoise named Trevor.

Fancy French Cidre: Domaine de la Minotiere Cidre Fermier Bio Doux or Pierre Huet AOC Pays D’Auge Cidre – I tried so many amazing French cidres this year that I had to include more than one! These selections cost a tad more than the previous two, $12 and $19.99 respectively, but also have more complexity. Both of these are low ABV selections, and the Doux was significantly sweeter, as expected for the classification.
